Additional Information

Visa Requirements

Please note that anyone travelling to South Africa must have two consecutive blank pages in their passport which lie side by side when the passport is open (i.e. a left and a right hand page). Passengers travelling to South Africa with passports which do not comply with these requirements, will either be stopped from boarding the aircraft or risk deportation on arrival in South Africa.

UK and Irish citizens do not need a visa to visit South Africa. However passports should be full 10 year passports and have at least six months validity beyond your intended stay and have 2 clear pages. If travelling to other countries from South Africa you may need a visa - please check.

Travelling with Children
As of June 2014 the South African Government have introduced new legislation and parents travelling with children are now required to provide an unabridged birth certificate (including full details of both parents) of all travelling children. This applies even when both parents are travelling with their children and it also applies to foreigners and South Africans alike.

When children are travelling with guardians, these adults are required to produce affidavits from parents proving permission for the children to travel. If children are travelling with only one parent, that parent must produce a full birth certificate and consent in the form of an affidavit from the other parent.
