Kiota Camp

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Kiota Camp

Kiota Camp opened in May 2015 and has quickly established itself as one of the best small bush camps in the central Serengeti.

Opened in May 2015, Kiota Camp is one of the newest camps in the game-rich Seronera region of the Serengeti. The Seronera is famous for its big cats, which appear here in larger numbers than any other region of the Serengeti, and for its proximity to the migration.

Kiota is the sister property of Chaka Camp, a charming semi-permanent camp which moves three times a year in order to track the wildebeest migration. A safari combining Kiota and Chaka Camps offers a fantastic Serengeti safari and perhaps the best chance of seeing the great event.

Kiota Camp is closed from 01 April to 20 May each year.

Accommodation

Kiota offers 10 very large tents which can comfortably accommodate two adults and two children under 12. The colourful furnishings are handmade by local craftsmen and the tents all feature huge beds, comfy indoor and outdoor chairs, large verandas, electric lighting, writing desk, safe, en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and safari bucket showers.
