Discover the game-rich Mfuwe area of the South Luangwa National Park, and enjoy the comforts of some of Zambia's finest safari camps in this 5-day luxury safari itinerary. Game-viewing activities include the guided safari walks for which South Luangwa is justly famous, and day and night game drives.

Outline Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrive Lusaka; Fly to South Luangwa

    Arrive Lusaka and connect with the domestic flight to Mfuwe. On arrival in Mfuwe, you will be met and transferred to Kafunta River Lodge, where you stay two nights (full-board). Depending on the time of your arrival, you may be able to enjoy an afternoon game drive into the park.

  2. Day 2: South Luangwa National Park (4x4 game drives)

    The South Luangwa National Park is one of the great wilderness regions of Africa.

  3. Day 3: Island Bush Camp

    Depart Kafunta River Lodge after an early break and transfer through the park to Island Bush Camp, enjoying a game drive en route.

  4. Day 4: South Luangwa walking safari

    Continue your exploration of the South Luangwa on foot.

  5. Day 5: Kafunta River Lodge

    Depart Island Bush Camp and transfer to Kafunta River Lodge for one night (full-board).

  6. Day 6: Departure

    Embark on an optional morning game drive before transferring to Mfuwe Airstrip to catch late morning flight to Lusaka.
