Villa Hue

Villa Hue is a 12-room boutique hotel which also serves as a training centre for local Vietnamese students studying tourism. It offers great service and a quiet location close to the centre of town.

Located right in the heart of Hue, with easy access to the Perfume River, Villa Hue is a 12-room boutique hotel which also doubles as a training centre for students studying tourism in Hue. As well as offering great value for money and an excellent location, the hotel has a terrific atmosphere and very helpful staff. The facilities are good for a hotel of this size—there’s a small courtyard with pool, a cosy bar/lounge and a restaurant.

The only aspect of Villa Hue we dislike is the restaurant, with its drab function room furnishings. However, we understand that it’s been refurbished since our last visit in 2014 (when these pictures were taken).

Accommodation

Although fairly simple, the rooms at Villa Hue are very comfortable and immaculately serviced. They feature all the expected modern amenities (air-con, satellite TV, in-room safe, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities).

Dining

Villa Hue’s Purple Restaurant is overseen by an expatriate chef who, with the students, prepares local Hue specialities as well traditional Vietnamese and more familiar Western dishes. The décor isn’t so hot, but the food is top-notch, and totally authentic Vietnamese.
