Situated in a quiet location in the north of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Speke’s Camp is a charming, low-key bush camp offering excellent value and an escape from the crowds.

Those valuing peace and privacy will find Speke’s Camp ideal. Tucked away in a copse of trees on the edge of the Olare Orok River, the camp is barely visible until you’re in it!

Speke is located in the northern reaches of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This rather more remote location allows for access to a number of less-visited game-viewing spots (Musiara Swamp, Talek River, Rhino Ridge), where great game-viewing can be had year-round, while still being within reach of the Mara Triangle, where much of the Great Migration activity takes place. Moreover, as Speke’s camp provides a private guide and 4x4 vehicle for each booking, guests are able to plan their activities around their interests, whether that's to focus on the less crowded regions of the Mara, or to arrange a full-day game drive with picnic lunch to the Mara River.

In addition to game drives, Speke's Camp also offers walking activities. A particular highlight are the mobile fly-camping safaris, which will see you spend up to 5 days in the bush accompanied by Masai askari, following a trail that connects Speke’s Camp to sister camp Jan’s.

Privately-owned and Masai-hosted, Speke’s Camp stands out as one of the most affordable camps in the Masai Mara, offering modest rates for a camp of this quality.
