Singita Ebony and Boulders

Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Singita Ebony and Boulders

Sister lodges Singita Ebony and Boulders enjoy access to their own private concession of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, in the Greater Kruger. Highly exclusive, these luxury lodges are among the most upmarket in South Africa.

Singita Ebony and Boulders Lodges are located in the Singita Private Game Reserve, itself a concession of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, in the Greater Kruger National Park. They are the original lodges in the Singita collection, which has now become a very well-regarded safari brand with properties across eastern and southern Africa.

Singita Ebony and Boulders are both highly luxurious lodges, among the most stylish in the Kruger. They differ in style and layout. Ebony is furnished in a deliberately old-fashioned style, with dark furnishings and an altogether more sober atmosphere. We tend to prefer the more naturalistic look of Singita Boulders, which takes its inspiration from the boulders that surround it and the earth on which it sits, its interiors finished in soft beige hues.

Singita Ebony and Boulders are located within their own private game reserve, in relative proximity to each other on the banks of the Sabi Sand River. Game-viewing activities at both lodges take place mostly within the Singita Private Game Reserve, to which guests at Ebony and Boulders enjoy exclusive access. Day and night game drives are of course a highlight, but guided game walks are also offered within the vicinity of the lodges. Of course, you may prefer to simply relax while at Singita. Open-air lounges and shimmering swimming pools invite you to take it easy, all the while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding African Bush.

Singita Ebony and Boulders are members of 'Relais & Chateaux'.

Accommodation

Each lodge has twelve carefully-appointed suites with private plunge pools, separate lounge areas with fireplaces, private sundecks, and gorgeous bathrooms with outdoor showers. We prefer the look of Singita Boulders, but in terms of amenities there’s little to distinguish the two lodges.

Two of the suites at Singita Ebony are family units with an additional bedroom.

Dining

At both lodges, meals are typically served overlooking the river, though there are numerous options for private dining. The dinner menus are fixed, and always superbly presented.

Both Singita Lodges have a wine cellar stocked with mostly South African wines.
