Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Moru Kopjes, Southern Serengeti

Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Serengeti Pioneer is a delightful permanent tented camp located in the game-rich southern portion of the Serengeti National Park. The location of the camp, high amongst the Moru Kopjes, offers extensive views across the Serengeti plains and the surrounding acacia woodland.

Pioneer Camp is part of the Elewana portfolio of high-quality safari camps and lodges, which incorporates several properties in Tanzania and Kenya. In keeping with Elewana’s other properties, the camp has many luxurious touches, with large, beautifully-furnished rooms with fittings that are reminiscent of the early safari era.

Pioneer Camp is well located for seeing the wildebeest herds in the southern Serengeti during the calving season (January to March).

Accommodation

Pioneer Camp offers ten tented rooms and one family tent, all of which are set into the hillside with views out to the plains. All rooms are spacious and set well apart for privacy. To the front is a shaded area with table and chairs which is a great spot for relaxing between game drives. Rooms are fitted with extra large beds with mozzie nets, bedside tables, writing desk, storage chests, coffee table and comfy safari chairs. Soft throws, rugs, cushions and matching curtains complete the stylish décor.
