The Mandalay Sedona is an international-standard hotel situated in the very centre of Mandalay, directly opposite the Royal Palace. It is one of the newest and most impressive hotels in the city, and offers better facilities than its closest competitors Mandalay Hill Resort and Shwe Pyi Thar.
Mandalay Sedona consists of 247 rooms on four floors. The facilities include a large swimming pool, two restaurants, health spa, a tennis court, and a selection of boutique stores on the ground floor. The location is ideal for getting to Mandalay’s main sights, such as the Royal Palace and Mandalay Hill, making it possible to explore much of the city on foot. The Mandalay Hill Resort offers a better view, but for many of the sights Sedona is more convenient.
Accommodation
The Sedona's 247 rooms and suites are bright and contemporary and feature all the amenities you would expect of a good four-star city hotel: air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, in-room safe, and good-sized bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. All of the rooms enjoy a view of either the courtyard pool or the Royal Palace. The suites on the upper floors are larger than the standard rooms and enjoy access to a private lounge and breakfast room.
Dining
The Café Mandalay offers a range of Asian specialities while the Shwe Li serves a mix of international cuisine and traditional Burmese dishes. Snacks are available from the Planter’s Lounge and the pool bar.
The Sedona is situated within walking distance of some of the few good restaurants in Mandalay, such as the Green Elephant.
