Royal Madikwe is a privately-owned safari lodge situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, a short drive from Johannesburg. Small and intimate, this thatched lodge is ideal for families or small groups wanting a safari camp that can be booked on an exclusive basis.
Wood from old marula and leadwood trees has been used in the construction of Royal Madikwe's main lodge, which is built under thatch in a traditional African style. The lounge, dining area and carefully appointed library lead to raised decks with dramatic views of the surrounding landscape and nearby waterhole.

Accommodation
Royal Madikwe can accommodate up to 10 guests in three luxury double suites, one twin suite, and one family suite. All of the rooms are furnished with four-poster beds, fireplace, air-conditioning, viewing deck and en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower.

Meals are served in the stylish dining room or outside overlooking the waterhole. The dinner menus are fixed, and accompanied by superb local and international wines from the wine cellar.
