A beautifully renovated missionary station dating back to 1888, Residence Klein Oliphants Hoek provides its guests with classic South African hospitality in a relaxed, informal setting. It's located in old Franschhoek, a village at the heart of the Cape Winelands, and is a wonderful base from which to explore South Africa's stunning Western Cape.

Accommodation

There are eight en suite rooms decorated in a contemporary style, in contrast to the rather more old-fashioned feel of the public areas. There are also a selection of suites with private pools and secluded courtyards leading to gardens, and a jacuzzi suite which, as its name suggests, has a private jacuzzi on the sundeck, king size bed, and full body massage shower.

All of the rooms are air conditioned and feature TV, DVD, music player, toiletries, underfloor heating, tea and coffee making facilities and room safe.

Dining

Residence Klein's restaurant features a classic country house kitchen complete with original wood burning stove, and serves lovely farmhouse cooking with an emphasis on Italian dishes.

Bouillabaisse is a stylish oyster bar and seafood deli open from 10am to 10pm.
