Park Hyatt Siem Reap

Park Hyatt Siem Reap is a stylish 5-star hotel set in the heart of Cambodia’s cultural capital. Though converted from one of town's oldest hotels, the former Hôtel de la Paix, Park Hyatt is a sleek resort with modern amenities.

Formerly the Hôtel de la Paix, Park Hyatt Siem Reap is an elegant 5-star hotel set in private gardens close to the centre of town. The very definition of an urban hideaway, it is one of Siem Reap’s most luxurious hotels, and a wonderful place to retreat to at the end of a busy day’s sightseeing.

Park Hyatt Siem Reap is one of the oldest hotels in Siem Reap, but you wouldn’t know it to look at it. In spite of its age—and in contrast to many of Siem Reap’s other luxury hotels, such as the colonial-themed Raffles—Park Hyatt Siem Reap adopts an ultra-modern style, though it retains much of the original Hôtel de la Paix’s Art Deco stylings. The glass-fronted suites are bright, clean and modern, and feature the most up-do-date amenities. At the centre of the hotel is a stylish courtyard, its focal point an ancient banyan tree surrounded by water features. Situated around this are the open-air lounge and bar area, while brightly lit pathways lead to the spa, fitness centre and swimming pool.

Located close to the heart of Siem Reap, Park Hyatt is within walking distance of the night market, restaurants and bars.

Accommodation

Park Hyatt Siem Reap offers 108 stylish and modern rooms. While there are some Khmer influences in the furnishings, on the whole the rooms have a very contemporary feel. They are decorated in bright, warm colours and equipped with up-to-date amenities of the kind that you might expect from a slick Tokyo hotel—Blu-ray player, 40” TV, media centre with iPod dock, espresso machine, remote controllable blinds and ambient lighting. The highlight of the rooms, however, are the huge marble bathrooms complete with dual vanities and separate bath and shower.

Dining

The elegant Dining Room is the Park Hyatt’s signature restaurant. Overlooking the central courtyard and its 100-year-old Banyan tree, the restaurant offers a fusion of French and Cambodian cuisine. Light meals and tapas are served in the Living Room, while sandwiches and pastries can be bought at the Glasshouse Deli.
