A 5-star guest house in the Cape Cod style, Ocean Eleven sits perched on the famous cliffs of Hermanus overlooking Walker Bay. The view of the ocean from the hotel terrace and rooms is wonderful, particularly during the whale-watching season (Jun-Oct)!
Originally a private home before being converted into a guesthouse, the owners of Ocean Eleven have kept its original ceilings, windows and teak floors while thoroughly renovating the house elsewhere. Where extensions have been made, they have been made to conform to the original Cape style.
Ocean Eleven's guest areas have been arranged so as to take advantage of the guesthouse's best feature: its wonderful view of the ocean. The lounge and dining area features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow in lots of light and make the most of the view. From the breakfast room, large French doors open onto the pool deck, directly overlooking the Bay. The bedrooms, too, enjoy sea views, as well all the expected amenities and fittings: DSTV, heated towel rail, mini bar.
Ocean Eleven is within easy walking distance of central Hermanus.
Accommodation
Ocean Eleven offers ten spacious rooms as well as a two-bedroom apartment. The rooms are furnished in a clean, contemporary style, with dark-wood furniture set against a muted colour scheme of white and blues. Wide windows allow in lots of light and maximise the views. French doors open onto either a private balcony or the shared pool terrace.
Ocean Eleven's standard rooms are located on the ground floor, two in the original house, which open onto a private section of the garden with a view of the bay; and one in a new extension, opening onto the pool terrace.
The deluxe rooms are spread between the ground and upper floors - all enjoy more space than the standard rooms as well as a standalone bathtub and shower.
Two suites are located in the loft of the original home and enjoy the best views. The suites also feature air-conditioning systems, whereas the standard rooms are fan-cooled.
Separate to the main house and its extensions is a private apartment. Ideal for families and groups, it features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private dining area, kitchenette, lounge and sea-view terrace.

Ocean Eleven Guesthouse is booked on a B&B basis. A generous buffet is laid out each morning in the breakfast room, with the tables arranged inside and on the pool terrace, as well as cooked breakfast to your specifications.
