Nyungwe House

Recently taken over by luxury hotel brand One&Only, Nyungwe House is the most luxurious property in the region of Nyungwe. Set amid tea fields on the edge of the forest, it offers 20 sumptuous rooms, each lavishly furnished in a modern style.

Nyungwe House blends beautifully into its surroundings. Décor focuses on earthy colours and makes good use of local wood, terracotta tiles and slate. Local Imigongo artwork is displayed to great effect on the walls, adding a splash of colour and style.

Activities from Nyungwe House naturally centre on Nyungwe Forest National Park, including primate safaris, birding tours, and canopy walks.

The 20 luxurious rooms are arranged in five ‘pods’ on the edge of the forest. All open onto a private veranda with coffee table and settee, and feature king size beds (twins are also available), en-suite bathrooms with standalone bathtubs and showers overlooking the forest.
