Nogatsaa Pans Lodge

Chobe National Park, Botswana

Nogatsaa Pans Lodge

The only lodge situated within the Nogatsaa region of Chobe National Park, Nogatsaa Pans Lodge is a lovely property that fully embraces the wilderness of Botswana’s Chobe National Park.

Located around 80km south of Chobe Riverfront, Nogatsaa Pans Lodge is currently the only lodge in the region. For this reason, it can be an adventure just getting here! Travelling through the bush you’ll likely be only people for miles around, giving you a true wilderness experience. The lodge overlooks the seasonal Kwikamba Pan which often gets huge herds of elephant as well as hippo, kudu and zebra. The lodge is run entirely on solar power, and during the dry season the pan is pumped from a borehole, ensuring there is always wildlife visiting.

The lodge is run by the same owners as the well-established Ghoha Hills Lodge in Savuti, so service levels are impeccable.

Nogatsaa Pans Lodge is perfect for anyone wanting a little adventure, looking for remoteness and wanting to experience the wilderness Botswana is so famous for. However, it does not offer a vast mix of activities, with only game drives available.

The main area of the lodge has a comfy lounge area where guests can help themselves to tea, coffee and biscuits. There is a relaxed dining room open to the views and outdoor decking area where guests can relax. There is also a raised deck giving a better view of the waterhole and perfect for evening stargazing.

Accommodation

Nogatasaa Pans Lodge has 10 large tented rooms, plus 2 family tents that can accommodate 4 people each.

The spacious and airy canvas tents are positioned in a horseshoe around the waterhole and grant uninterrupted views of the pan from enormous beds. Private en suite facilities include twin vanities, indoor and outdoor showers, gowns and slippers.

The tents have mosquito nets and fans.
