Mayura Hill Resort and Spa is one of only a very small number of upmarket lodges in Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri. It offers international-standard rooms and facilities in a quiet, intimate setting.

Mayura Hill Resort is located just outside downtown Sen Monorom, enclosed by pretty gardens in a quiet part of town. Small and intimate, it offers just 14 villas, a swimming pool, sun terrace and restaurant. Excellent service sets it apart from other hotels in the region.

Mayura is perfectly positioned for exploring the Mondulkiri region, famous for its beautiful hills, forests and waterfalls. Bou Sra Waterfall is a short, 45-minute drive from Mayura, as are a number of hill tribe villages. The hotel can help organise day trips and also offers free bicycles for independent exploration.

Accommodation

Just 14 private villas, all of them fully air-conditioned and en-suite, lie scattered around the gardens. All of Mayura's rooms, from the standard superior category to the higher category deluxe rooms and suites, offer lots of space, and open onto private balconies overlooking either the hills of Mondulkiri or the garden and pool. The decor is subtle and attractive, with hand-carved wooden furnishings made in the Mondulkiri style.

Of the 14 rooms, three are deluxe, and these represent a good upgrade from the standard superiors (eight), offering more space and better views. They feature larger bathrooms with standalone bathtub and shower (superiors are shower only) - one of the deluxe rooms even features a lovely jacuzzi!

There's are also three family suites with two bedrooms each accommodating up to 4 guests.

Amenities standard in all rooms include satellite TV with DVD player, tea/coffee facilities, minibar, and lots of wardrobe space!

Dining

Mayura's restaurant is one of the best in town and open to the public as well as hotel guests. The menu is a mix of Cambodian and more familiar fare. Mayura's terrace is the venue for occasional barbecues.

Options for dining out in Sen Monorom are fairly limited, but there are some reasonably good restaurants within easy reach of Mayura.
