Mara Under Canvas is a mobile tented safari camp situated in the northern region of the Serengeti, close to the border with Kenya. Ideally positioned for game drives along the banks of the Mara River, the camp is best visited between July and Oct, when the migratory herds can typically be seen in this region.
Mara Under Canvas is a simple bush camp, with separate dining and lounge tents in addition to its 10 guest tents.
Accommodation
Mara Under Canvas has ten spacious safari tents each with a double bed and en suite bathroom. There is also a single family tent, with two bedrooms accommodating a family of four.
There is a cosy dining tent where evening meals are served by candlelight. Separate to this is the lounge tent, which is furnished with comfortable chairs and equipped with a choice of board games and books to enjoy between game drives.
A fire is lit each evening outside the lounge tent, where guests can relax with a sundowner.

Mara Under Canvas accommodates children, though please note that the camp is in a remote location, entirely unfenced, and hence better suited to families travelling with older children. Please contact us for child rates and availability.
