Machaba is a classic safari camp set in the Khwai concession, a private reserve in the eastern Okavango Delta, immediately adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. Machaba, which means Sycamore Fig in Setswana, sits underneath a canopy of riverine trees, looking out onto the Khwai River and the Moremi Game Reserve beyond. The views are marvellous, and so too is the game-viewing!
Accommodation
Machaba offers just ten luxury tents—eight twins and two family tents—situated in the treeline overlooking the river. Each of the tents is en-suite with bathroom and outdoor shower, and a comfortable living area. The tents are classic "Meru-style tents", with spacious interiors and a covered seating area at the front, giving Machaba the appearance and character of a traditional East African bush camp.

Evening meals at Machaba are served in the dining mess tent, or alternatively outside under the stars and tree canopy.
