Loldia House

Loldia House is a superb old settler-era farmhouse and country retreat, situated on a working farm on the shores of Laka Naivasha.

Loldia House is a superb old 1930s farmhouse and country retreat situated on a working farm on the shores of Laka Naivasha. The setting of this country retreat is wonderful, with the farmhouse surrounded by tranquil gardens and forests of yellow-barked acacia trees—all within the grounds of a 6,000 acre estate. Well-kept lawns run down to the shores of Lake Naivasha, the Great Rift Valley's highest and purest lake, while animals roam freely on the farm. There are striking views of the lake and, in the distance, Mt. Longonot.

Loldia has undergone several substantial renovations, but the managers have worked hard to keep the original character of the house; comfy chairs surround a huge fireplace, paintings by local artists hang from the walls, and there is a deep and shady verandah to relax on with sunbeds in the garden.

Accommodation

There are just four beautiful en-suite bedrooms in the main manor house, as well as two cottages, one three-bedroomed and the other two-bedroomed. All are decorated with original furniture. Loldia's rooms have en-suite bathrooms with bath, shower, basin, flush toilet, and hot and cold running water.

Dining

Fantastic meals, made with local produce and fresh fish and shrimp from the lake, are served on the lawn under shady trees or in the old dining room.
