A private villa before it was converted into a hotel, La Residence d’Angkor manages to squeeze into its compact walls a wealth of facilities, including two restaurants, separate bar, outdoor pool, and a large spa with plunge pool, while still retaining the feel and character of a private home.
La Residence d’Angkor has a fantastic location. It is situated just outside the town’s market centre, overlooking Siem Reap River and within walking distance of thriving Pub St. and the night market.
Accommodation
La Residence d’Angkor offers 58 stylish rooms and suites, all attractively decorated with wooden floors, bamboo furniture and handwoven silk furnishings. Private terraces overlook the pool and garden or the river outside the hotel. The bathrooms are huge, each with a separate bath and shower. All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV and wireless internet.
Though La Residence is centrally-located, we had no issues with noise—the rooms are practically sound-proof.
Dining
The chefs in the Circle restaurant prepare a fusion of Khmer and international cuisine with a contemporary twist, served either in the smart restaurant or al fresco on the terrace. The poolside bar, Ember, offers snacks during the day and a barbecue at night.
