Kisampa Bush Retreat

Kisampa Bush Retreat (formerly Wami River Camp) lies on a high ridge in a wild, pristine area overlooking the Wami River and floodplains, just outside Saadani National Park.

A low-key bush lodge, Kisampa has been designed to minimise its human footprint while serving as a gateway to this beautiful and little-visited region of Tanzania’s coastline.

Saadani National Park is often-overlooked, but there are a huge range of activities on offer here, from game viewing to typical beach activities, making Kisampa an ideal retreat for families as well as more active travellers.

Accommodation

Kisampa offers six thatched bandas, each furnished with large hand-carved beds, hammocks, outside bucket shower (with views into the bush) and a composting eco loo. Solar power is used for lighting in the rooms and along the pathways.

Dining

Weather permitting, dinner is served outside under the stars. There is also a large dining area/lounge and a small snug.
