Kings Camp

Timbavati Game Reserve

Kings Camp

Kings Camp is an upmarket safari lodge in the Timbavati Game Reserve, Kruger National Park. Less a bush camp than a boutique hotel, it adopts a colonial style but offers all the expected modern amenities.

Kings Camp is a luxury bush camp situated in the Timbavati Game Reserve, adjoining the Greater Kruger National Park. Its eleven thatched suites are absolutely beautiful, and feature mahogany furniture and stylish bathrooms complete with Victorian bathtubs and double outside showers.

Kings Camp's facilities include a large swimming pool, dining room, bar, cosy boma, lounge and library. The living areas are lovely and just invite you to relax. A large viewing-deck provides great game-viewing opportunities.

Kings Camp offers stylish accommodation in the heart of the bush. It also offers good game-viewing, with Timbavati Reserve home to all of the "Big 5" as well as a healthy population of leopard.

Accommodation

Kings Camp has eleven large and spacious suites, each lavishly furnished in a classic, 'colonial' style—they even feature a traditional Victorian 'ball-and-claw' bathtubs. Quality mahogany furniture and Persian rugs help complete the atmosphere. Amenities include: AC, tea/coffee facilities, safe and telephone. The rooms open onto private verandahs with hammocks.

Dining

The menu at Kings Camp changes daily, as does the venue—sometimes you'll dine around the campfire in the boma, other nights in the more formal dining room, or on the lawn under the shade of an old knobthorn tree, by the pool or overlooking the floodlit watering hole. Bush dinners under the stars are a special highlight.
