The Kilimanjaro (Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam)

Known fondly as ‘The Kili’, the Kilimanjaro Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam is one of the city's oldest and grandest hotels.

Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro, enjoys a convenient location in central Dar Es Salaam, the capital and commercial centre of Tanzania.

Known colloquially as ‘The Kili’, and formerly known as the Kilimanjaro Kempinski, this old hotel has over the years become a city landmark, both a reminder of the region’s colonial heritage and a favoured meeting place among locals and travellers alike. The hotel was totally rebuilt in August 2005 and re-opened as the Kempinski, before being taken over by Hyatt in 2011.

The Kilimanjaro is a large, 5-star city hotel, with all the facilities and amenities that you would expect from a hotel of this category: swimming pool, gym and fitness centre, conference facilities, and a casino.

There are 180 rooms at the Kilimanjaro, all equipped with the expected mod-cons including satellite TV, high-speed internet, tea/coffee facilities, electronic safe, and a full range of deluxe bathroom amenities.

The Kilimanjaro features 2 restaurants - an all-day dining restaurant and a Chinese restaurant - in addition to 3 bars - the ‘Bar Lounge’, the ‘Pool Juice Bar’ and the ‘Roof Bar’.
