Kasaka River Lodge

Kasaka River Lodge is an small, intimate camp set on the banks of the Zambezi River. It offers great value in an area where camp prices can be prohibitively expensive.

Update: Kasaka River Lodge is currently closed. The lodge is undergoing redevelopment nad is expected to re-open in the future, though we do not currently have a date. We will update this page when we have more information.

Kasaka River Lodge is a lovely little camp which offers exceptional value in an area where prices can be prohibitively high.

Kasaka perches on a high bank overlooking the Zambezi. It features attractive communal areas including a huge deck and a separate small lounge with open fire. There’s also a cosy library. The Lower Zambezi National Park is just a 20 minute drive away through the game management area, where our staff had some of their best ever leopard sightings!

Kasaka is one of the few lodges in this area which is open all year round.

Accommodation

The accommodation is divided into four tents on the ‘‘tame side”, accessible via a path through the manicured gardens and past the swimming pool, and four tents on the “wild side”, accessed by a wooden walkway through the bush.  There is also the Wild Mango Honeymoon Suite, which has an open air bath, huge four poster bed and private veranda with loungers. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with slate floors. Fans are provided.

For families or small groups the Hippo pod is fantastic. The house has two bedrooms and comes with its own staff including a guide and chef, though guests can choose to eat in the main lodge if preferred.
