Jabali Ridge Lodge

Ruaha National Park, Tanzania

Jabali Ridge Lodge

Opened in September 2017, Jabali Ridge already stands out as one of Ruaha's most luxurious camps, providing a standard of accommodation not otherwise found in this remote and often-overlooked Tanzanian safari park.

Jabali accommodates its guests in 8 luxury suites, hidden amid granite boulders on a high rocky ridge in the north-eastern Ruaha. From this secluded location, it provides easy access to the prime game-viewing areas around the Mwagusi River (the focus of game drives at the lodge), while also serving as an ideal base for walking safaris on the comparatively quieter eastern perimeter of the park.

Jabali's guest suites are wonderfully spacious. Fully open at the sides (with louvre shutters to seal the rooms at night), each opens onto a wide verandah with seating area and hammock – and splendid views! All rooms are furnished with king-size beds and feature ample hanging space.

Jabali Lodge's standout feature is its infinity pool. Positioned on the edge of the ridge, it offers stunning views of the surrounding baobab-strewn plains. Separate to the pool is a lounge and dining area, which, like the rooms, it fully open at the sides. There is also a spa.

Accommodation

Jabali Lodge offers eight bandas, hidden among the granite boulders of the ridge. Each is fully open so as to make the most of the views. All are furnished with king-size double beds and open onto private verandahs.

Jabali Lodge also offers a private house. Situated away from the standard rooms, Jabali House comes with its own staff though shares access to the pool, lounge and guest areas at the main lodge. It is ideally suited to small groups or families travelling with older children (min. age 5).
