Ikoma Camp

Ikoma Camp is a comfortable safari camp with an enviable location on one of the main Serengeti migration routes.

Ikoma Safari Camp is a comfortable, modestly priced permanent tented camp in the Serengeti Ikoma region. It is located on one of the main migration corridors, ensuring excellent game-viewing opportunities during the busy migration season. For those travelling on a modest budget, but who want to access the heart of the Serengeti, Ikoma provides a great option.

Game-viewing at Ikoma is generally excellent. The guides here are knowledgeable and the camp has been given permission to conduct night game drives alongside the usual day drives and walking safaris. Even outside of the migration season, Ikoma Camp is one of the better options in the Serengeti for a pure game-viewing experience.

Ikoma is a mid-sized camp, with 11 tented suites, of which three are luxury suites, two family units, and six standard tents. Each has its own private patio area overlooking the African bush, and an en-suite bathroom with bucket shower and flush toilet.

The tents are brightly and comfortably furnished, with fold-up canvas furniture and wicker chairs, colourful rugs and generous-sized carved wooden beds.

Buffet breakfasts, lunches and three course dinners are served in the open-air dining area. Bush dinners can also be arranged.
