Dhow Palace

Stone Town, Zanzibar

Dhow Palace

Dhow Palace is a charming 30-room guesthouse, converted from a former Omani mansion, with a superb location in the centre of Stone Town.

Dhow Palace Hotel occupies a wonderful location in the heart of old Stone Town, the historic capital of Zanzibar. It's a piece of history itself, an old Omani mansion formerly owned by a rich merchant before being converted into a hotel. Its heritage is visible in its tall archways, verdant courtyards and traditional Zanzabari furniture and ornaments, which give Dhow Palace a truly authentic feel and atmosphere.

Accommodation

Dhow Palace Hotel is small and intimate, with 30 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, all tastefully furnished. Most of the rooms open out onto balconies overlooking the central courtyard and pool.

Dining

A mix of seafood and local and international cuisine is served in the roof-top restaurant, accompanied by views of Stone Town and the Indian Ocean. Alcohol is not served, but there are bars and restaurants a few steps away.
