Casa Angkor

Casa Angkor | Siem Reap, Cambodia

Casa Angkor

Converted from an old French villa, Casa Angkor is a charming hotel set in Siem Reap's quiet French Quarter. Though lacking in amenities, it makes up for it in character and atmosphere.

Casa Angkor is a comfortable 3-star hotel that has been converted from an old French-colonial villa. Set amid mature gardens in the heart of Siem Reap, it offers easy access to the town’s many shops, restaurants and bars, while also being conveniently positioned for accessing the surrounding temple sites.

Casa Angkor’s distinctive French colonial architecture is reflected in the lovely interiors, which house classic French colonial furnishings alongside traditional Cambodian artefacts. It is one of the most attractive and best-located of Siem Reap’s hotels. It does, it should be said, lack some of the amenities of the city’s more modern resorts. On the other hand, Casa Angkor’s location in Siem Reap’s tranquil French quarter ensures a degree of peace and quiet, particularly compared to the bigger resorts on the main thoroughfare.

Accommodation

Casa Angkor offers 94 rooms and suites. The rooms are rather simply decorated, which is a shame, as we think Casa Angkor could be a beautiful hotel if the rooms were furnished to a higher standard. They are clean and comfortable, however, and some guests will appreciate the lack of glitz. Most, but not all of the rooms have a balcony with a view of the city or garden. Amenities provided in all rooms include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, in-room safe and tea and coffee making facilities.

Dining

The informal Casa Restaurant has an a la carte menu of international, Asian and Khmer dishes while the pool bar serves a selection of snacks. Casa Angkor’s central location in the French Quarter means that the restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance.
