Campi Ya Kanzi

Campi Ya Kanzi is a beautiful Italian-styled safari lodge located in the Kuku Group Ranch, a private concession situated between Tsavo and Amboseli National Parks.

Located between Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks, in what is one of Kenya's prime game spots, Campi Ya Kanzi is a luxury tented safari camp as well as an experiment in eco-tourism and conservation. The camp is situated in the Kuku Group Ranch, almost 300,000 acres of prime bush land owned by a local community of Masai.

Furnished with a stylish blend of Italian and Masai decor, Campi Ya Kanzi has a relaxed atmosphere, which is also reflected in the activities. The camp offers tailor-made safaris rather than inflexible, scheduled game activities, allowing you to spend as much or as little time on game activities as you please. Campi Ya Kanzi is a great camp at which to simply relax, with good opportunities for viewing game from the comfort of your room. Alternatively, you can take part in a variety of safari activities, including 4x4 drives, walking safaris, and Masai village visits.

Accommodation

Campi Ya Kanzi accommodates a maximum of 14 guests in six en-suite thatch-and-canvas cottages and in two separate suites (the Hemingway and Simba suites). Each of the tented cottages offers a different view, though inside they are more or less identical. They accommodate one or two adults each (an additional bed can be provided if travelling with a child). The suites have the advantage of a king-size bed and a dressing room.

The cottages are all constructed of wood, stone and canvas, and raised on a wooden platform. Private verandahs offer beautiful views of Kilimanjaro, or the Tsavo and Chyulu Hills.

Dining

The menus at Campi Ya Kanzi emphasise Italian flavours, including home-made pasta, breads and ice cream.
