This highly unique camp occupies a superb location on the edge of Maunachira River, within the Moremi Game Reserve. Okuti is like few other camps in the region. It is comprised of several 'mosasas' (woven hoops constructed from water reed), scattered along the edge of the lagoon and linked by wooden walkways. The design of the camp isn't, admittedly, particularly attractive from the outside, but while Okuti doesn't have the appearance of a luxury camp, it's remarkably comfortable once you get inside the mosasas, which are attractively furnished and exceptionally spacious. Okuti's location, within the Moremi Game Reserve (the very heart of the Okavango Delta), is also superb. All in all, this is one of the best-value camps in the Okavango and shouldn't be overlooked.
Okuti is a permanent camp open all year-round.
Accommodation
The rooms, or 'units', at Okuti are simply huge; each is en-suite with a separate bathroom and outdoor shower, and hot and cold running water. All rooms have a private balcony with a view of the lagoon.
Okuti is a very small camp, with only 5 standard rooms and 2 family rooms (these have an additional bedroom), giving the camp a calm, relaxed atmosphere. One disadvantage is that the mosasas have been built quite close together to make the most of the views of the lagoon, which somewhat hampers your privacy.
Unlike the unique mosasa style rooms, the public areas at Okuti, including the dining room, bar and lounge, are located in the traditional thatched rondavels that are a common feature of so many safari camps.
Dining
Freshly prepared meals are served in the dining rondavel overlooking the lagoon. Meals at Camp Okuti are generally served communally, though you can dine privately if preferred.

Child Policy
Children over the age of 7 are accepted at Okuti all year round. Children under the age of 7 can usually be accommodated in the low season, but this needs to be confirmed in advance. The inter-connecting family rooms make Okuti ideal for families.
