Beho Beho

Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania

Beho Beho

Beho Beho Camp is a beautiful little refuge in the Selous Highlands, and offers walking, 4x4 and boat safaris in one of Africa's largest and greatest game reserves, the Selous.

Sited in the cool Selous Highlands, not too far from the banks of the Rufiji River, Beho Beho is a true safari refuge, a luxurious base from where you can explore - on foot, by boat or by 4x4 - the wonders of one of the greatest game parks in Africa.

Beho Beho is a comfortable, homely safari camp. Shaded and protected by a huge thatched roof, the large camp houses within it a lounge with full-size billiards table, open-sided dining room, an additional private dining area, the Eagle's Nest, and lots of cosy nooks in which to relax with your feet up.

Beho Beho Camp also operates a private camping ground ('Bush Nights') on the banks of the Beho Beho River, with only two en-suite tents. This is an optional extra for guests staying at the main camp.

Accommodation

Small and exclusive, Beho Beho has only 8 thatched rooms, or bandas. The bandas are built of stone and are all beautifully furnished, with king-size beds, Swahili day beds, and comfortable lounge furniture. At the front they open onto a large private verandah with a view of the surrounding bush. A small dressing room leads into an en-suite bathroom with open air shower (no bathtub).

Dining

Meals are served in the open air dining area, in the privacy of your private deck, or in the Eagle's Nest. Private bush meals can also be arranged on request.
