Ongava Reserve, Etosha National Park

Anderssons at Ongava

Located on the site of an old farmstead, Andersson's is a charming camp with a terrific location overlooking a busy watering hole in the often-overlooked Ongava Game Reserve, Etosha National Park.

Located on the site of an old farmstead, Anderssons is a characterful, rustic lodge with an excellent location in the Ongava Game Reserve, adjacent to Etosha National Park. The camp overlooks a watering hole, allowing for excellent game-viewing in the dry season.

Formerly a good mid-range camp with a fantastic location, Anderssons has in recent years undergone a significant refurbishing, and is now pitched as a high end lodge. The 20 twin-bedded and simply furnished tents that made up the old Andersson's Camp have been replaced with 9 expansive chalets, constructed with natural stone, wood and glass and beautifully furnished inside, while the central guest areas have been given a major makeover.

Accommodation

Anderssons at Ongava offers nine guest chalets, each set on raised wooden decks. Some, though not all, overlook the nearby watering hole. They are spaced far enough apart to allow for a good level of privacy.

Each tent has double doors leading onto a covered veranda, and en suite bathroom facilities with both indoor and outdoors showers.

Dining

Breakfast at Anderssons is a generous buffet, while dinner is a delicious 3-course meal. The menus are fixed, but dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice. Meals are served in the open-air dining area with views onto the water hole.
