Located on the outskirts of Siem Reap, halfway between the town and airport, this small and very elegant hotel is housed in a grand Khmer-style villa. It is part of the Thailand-based Anatara chain, a collection of five-star hotels scattered throughout South-East Asia. Anantara Angkor stands out as one of the most impressive hotels in the chain, thanks to its gorgeous suites and stylish Khmer aesthetic.
Due to its slightly more remote location, Anantara Angkor is a little less practical than other hotels for eating out and exploring the night market (a tuk tuk is required to get to the town centre). On the other hand, Anantara's location ensures a degree of peace and quiet not available at many of the city’s more centrally-located hotels. And peace and quiet is very much the order of the day at Anantara Angkor—the hotel has a wonderfully tranquil vibe, a far cry from the busy city hotels.
Accommodation
Anantara Angkor has just 39 rooms and suites, all furnished with elegant parquet floors, handcrafted hardwood furniture and local textiles. The rooms are very spacious, particularly the spectacular suites, which open out onto private balconies/verandahs overlooking the pool and courtyard.

Dining
The Sothea serves fresh, delicious meals, its menu inspired by the seasonal food available in the local market. Chatra Restaurant offers a walk-in wine cellar and live music most evenings.
