Oman

Oman has mile upon mile of unspoiled coastline. Here you can relax and sunbathe or enjoy a host of watersports, including excellent snorkeling and scuba diving. And of course turtle spotting is an attraction.
The capital of Oman, Muscat, was historically an ancient port and fortress town overlooking the Gulf of Oman. Now it is a modern capital characterised by tasteful Arabian architecture. There are a number of world famous hotels here, such as the Al Bustan Palace, the Chedi, and the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
TRAVEL ADVICE
The best time to visit Oman is September to April. May to September can be very hot and humid.
Traditional tours include time in Muscat, the ancient fortress towns, and perhaps Salalah, the verdant southern province.
Trips can also include the Mussandam Peninsula, or a drive across the northern desert to Dubai.
