10-night guided safari visiting Zambia’s wildest and most remote wilderness parks, the Lower Zambezi and Liuwa Plain, including a 5-night stay at the fabulous King Lewanika Lodge.

Outline Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Lusaka to Lower Zambezi

    On arrival in Lusaka Airport connect with the domestic flight to Royal Airstrip, in the Lower Zambezi (15:40/16:45). Your guide and driver will be waiting to meet you at the airstrip for the 20 minute transfer to Chongwe River Camp, where you stay four nights (fully inclusive basis in tented room).

  2. Day 2-4: Lower Zambezi

    Over the next two days you’ll have the privilege to explore the Lower Zambezi on guided morning and afternoon game activities.

  3. Day 5: Lower Zambezi - Lusaka

    After breakfast and an early morning game activity at Chongwe, transfer to Royal Airstrip for the flight to Lusaka, where you will be met on arrival and transferred 20 mins to Pioneer Camp for one night (dinner and breakfast).

  4. Day 6: Lusaka to Liuwa Plain National Park

    Transfer to Lusaka airport for your shared charter flight to Kalabo (approx. 1.5 hours). On arrival, meet with your driver for the transfer to King Lewanika Lodge (approx. 3 hours), arriving in time for lunch.

  5. Day 7-10: Liuwa Plain National Park

    You’ll explore the vast wilderness of Liuwa over the course of the next two days on guided walks and game drives led by experienced rangers.

  6. Day 11: Departure

    Depart early this morning and enjoy a game drive en-route to Kalabo Airstrip, where you board your flight to Lusaka. In Lusaka, connect with your international flight home/onward regional connection.
