Day 1-6: Song Saa Private Island Beach Resort
Arrive Siem Reap and connect with a short domestic flight to Sihanoukville. On arrival you will be met by your driver for the speedboat transfer to Song Saa, your home for the next five nights (jungle villa, fully-inclusive).
Song Saa is not one but two gorgeous private islands, linked by a wooden bridge, and ringed by pristine beaches and a protected coral reef. The islands form part of the Koh Kong Archipelago off the southern coast of Cambodia, and are enclosed within a marine reserve.
One of Cambodia's finest boutique hotels, since its opening in 2012 Song Saa has won numerous awards. The décor is understated but exquisite with an emphasis on using local, sustainable materials, giving the lodge a decidedly natural, rustic feel.
Your luxury jungle villa features a private pool, sundeck, mini wine cellar, and a gorgeous bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, sunken bath and toiletries. All rooms are air-conditioned (though the ocean breeze means the AC is likely to remain off!) and amenities including flat screen TV and sound system.
The overwater Vista Restaurant is run by super-chef Neil Wager and offers culinary specialities prepared with fresh, local ingredients and produce from Song Saa's organic gardens. You can also dine privately on the beach, in your villa, or in a fishing boat!
Activities available from Song Saa include diving, snorkelling (straight from the beach), kayaking, bird-watching, guided rainforest walks, fishing, boating, marine safaris, and visits to the local fishing villages.

Day 7: Viroth's Hotel, Siem Reap (Angkor)
Morning at leisure in Song Saa. In the afternoon, return to Sihanoukville by speedboat, and transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. On arrival you will be met by your driver and transferred to Viroth’s Hotel.
Situated in the centre of town, in a peaceful area adjacent to the river, Viroth's is an intimate boutique hotel with just 7 rooms. It ideally located for accessing the shops, markets, restaurants and bars of central Siem Reap, and is also only 20 minutes’ drive from the main Angkor temples.
Viroth’s style is decidedly retro, its chic design elements blending with authentically Khmer décor to create the perfect ambience. The pool area is lush and tranquil and great for relaxing and the roof top bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold drink.

Day 8: Angkor Wat
After an early breakfast, meet your guide to begin your full-day guided tour of the temples of Angkor.
Built by the Khmer civilisation between the 9th and 13th centuries AD (that is, during Europe's Dark Ages), the temples represent one of the most astonishing and enduring architectural achievements to be found anywhere in the world. The highlight is of course the spectacular Angkor Wat, but you will also have time to visit the Bayon, with its famous face towers, the ruined city of Angkor Thom, and Ta Prohm, the jungle temple. The day ends with a sunset visit to Angkor Wat.
NB. For those who really wish to explore the temples of Angkor at length, we would recommend a longer stay of 2-3 nights in Siem Reap. Just let us know if you'd like to extend. You can view our Khmer Heritage itinerary to get an idea of what is possible with a longer stay.

Day 9: Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Viroth’s before transferring to the airport for your international fight out.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to visit Siem Reap's busy morning market before leaving.
