Trekking and Climbing in Ethiopia
Ethiopia is rich in geography, history and culture. The fabled land of the Queen of Sheba, and a famed trading post on the major spice routes from the earliest times, Ethiopia's unique past is made visible in its surviving age-old religious traditions and pre-Christian relics.

In Ethiopia, you can see the rock churches of Lalibela, the castles of Gondar, and the Blue Nile Falls. For naturalists the Rift Valley Lakes, the Simien Mountains and the Bale Mountains offer riches of flora and fauna, much of it endemic. The Omo Valley and remote regions of Ethiopia are home to tribes whose lifestyles remain unchanged for centuries.

The highlands offer a superb climate for trekking in the months from October through to April.
