spectacular view of Kilimanjaro&#8217;s summit as they arrived into East Africa this morning! <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1635\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ganeandmarshall.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Kilimanjaro.jpg\" alt=\"Kilimanjaro aerial view\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Haden\u2019s latest phonecast, sent from Heathrow, can be played here:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/ipad.io\/4qsph1o\">http:\/\/ipad.io\/4qsph1o<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The group are now relaxing at the wonderful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganeandmarshall.com\/accommodation\/moivaro-lodge.html\">Moivaro Lodge<\/a>, hidden away in the foothills of Mount Meru, and readying themselves for tomorrow&#8217;s big climb.<\/p>\n<p>Later today they have their climb briefing and kit check with lead UK guide Wayne from the SBSA and with Chas, their Tanzanian lead guide.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be continuing to update the blog with audio diaries and pictures from the climb party as they make their way to the summit.<\/p>\n<p>Wishing the climbers a good rest today and our best wishes for the starter trek up Umbwe
