Moremi Game Reserve

The Moremi is the heart of the Okavango and is designated for the preservation of wildlife. The reserve habitats range from mopane woodlands to dry savannah, grasslands, flood plains, marshes, permanent waterways, lagoons and lake islands.
Moremi is considered by many to be the most exceptional area of the Delta region where all the major habitats and ecotones of the Okavango are conserved. This reserve offers the very best safari experience with massive tracts of pristine land. Here you can go out all day and not see another soul - except the animals of course!
In and around Moremi
Game walks, game drives and boat safaris are offered by most lodges but it is best to check beforehand as some lodges do not offer water based activities.
We would recommend that you spend a minimum of 5 days in the Delta; but it will be more productive if you book two different camps one of which should be a deepwater camp to ensure great all-round game viewing.
Accommodation in Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana)

Chief's Camp is a luxury bush camp situated on Chief's Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession of Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve.
The Chitabe Concession is 70,000 acres of pristine Okavango wilderness. It borders the Moremi Game Reserve and is nestled between two river systems.
Chitabe Lediba is a very comfortable five-roomed tented camp, sitauted in an enormous concession and bordered on three sides by the Moremi Game Reserve.

Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island, built in and around the shade of a band of large Mangosteen, Ebony and Fig trees, and overlooking a wonderful floodplain teeming with game.
Xakanaxa Camp, one of Botswana’s first safari camps, is situated in the lush northern region of the Moremi Game Reserve. This is a unique area of permanent delta waterways, vast floodplains, a lagoon and dry woodlands.
Xigera (pronounced Keejera) is a luxury tented camp in the Moremi Game Reserve, situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta.
