Nasikia Mobile Camp

Nasikia is a small mobile camp of 6-12 tents that moves between the Northern and Southern Serengeti. It is perfect for those wanting to track the Great Migration.

Nasikia Mobile Camp is the sister camp to Nasikia Central, a permanent tented camp in the central Rongai area of the Serengeti. As the name suggests, Nasikia Mobile Camp shifts location on a regular basis, and this is a great advantage if you’re hoping to track the Serengeti’s greatest attraction, the annual wildebeest Migration. Whereas other camps can be within range of the Great Migration for only a small window each year, Nasikia is able to follow the Migration with great success. The camp is at its best from Dec through Mar and July through Sept when the Migration is in motion.

Nasikia, unlike many other mobile camps, is very much an upper mid-range camp, with many of the comforts normally associated with permanent camps, such as en-suite bathrooms, full-sized beds, and great food!

Accommodation

There are 6 to 12 tents at Nasikia, depending on the season. They are heavy duty canvas tents, fairly sizeable (10 by 4 metres each), and furnished with comfortable linens and satisfying furniture (wardrobe, desk, bedside tables, and storage chest). The toilet and shower are separate (no bathtub).

Dining

Generous breakfasts are served in the mess tent, either before or after your morning game drive. Picnic lunches can be prepared for longer game drives, followed by a sundowner before returning to camp. Evening meals are served communally in the mess tent. The food is to a good standard. There is a generous drinks selection.
