Wolwedans Boulders Camp

General Description
The beautiful NamibRand Nature Reserve has four distinct geographical regions; dunes and sandy plains, inselbergs, mountains and sand and gravel plains. Wildlife here includes oryx, gemsbok, springbok, kudu, Hartman’s and Burchell’s zebra, giraffe, klipspringer, steenbok, hartebeest and baboon. Predators include leopard, spotted and brown hyena, black-backed jackal, aardwolf, bar-eared fox, Cape fox, African wildcat, caracal and genet as well as over 100 species of birds, numerous rodents, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and plants.
Wolwedans Boulders Camp is the latest addition to the Wolwedans family. It is situated 45 kilometres south of Wolwedans on the edge of a massive outcrop of granite rocks, overlooking the vast beauty of the Reserve. Boulders is perfect for a two night stay and is ideally booked in combination with one or two nights at any of the other camps in the dunes, making for the ultimate desert experience.
The main area sports a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck and open fire place. Close by is an awesome sundowner spot overlooking the vast beauty of the reserve.
Accommodation
Accommodation is in 4 spacious en-suite tents on raised decks with private verandahs.
Dining
All meals are served in the mess tent or, weather permitting, under the stars on the open deck. During winter time dinner is normally served earlier, whilst during summer, dinner can be as late as 9pm. Sometimes the chef will do a barbeque.

Child policy
Children over 6 years old are welcome. Children under 6 years are accepted if the whole camp is booked.
