General Description

Tsala Treetop Lodge is one of a very few resorts designed around a set theme. Innovative and unusual, this treetop retreat is based on the legend of an ancient civilization supposed to have lived in the area, and the result is stunning, as modern interiors are combined with unique architecture and distinctly African decor.

Each room is connected to the main building via adjoining walkways suspended high above the Tsitsikamma forest canopy, providing wonderful views. Privacy is paramount at Tsala; there is space enough for only 20 and each suite is secluded amongst the canopy.

Accommodation

Elevated wooden walkways meander through the trees to 10 exclusive timber suites, each with plunge pool, private viewing deck, stone fireplace, bathroom, bedroom and a beautifully appointed lounge.

Dining

The food at Tsala is superb. You have the choice to dine on a wooden balcony perched among the treetops or within the lodge dining room. The town of Plettenberg is nearby and host to a selection of fantastic restaurants. There is a wide selection of local and imported wines available from the cellar
