Susuwe Island Lodge
(Caprivi - Namibia)
General Description
Situated on an island in the Kwando River in northeastern Namibia, Susuwe Island Lodge offers an African river, a spectacular canopy of indigenous trees and vistas of the Kalahari grasslands in the Bwabwata National Park. The Kwando River feeds the ecosystem that sustains the varied game and birdlife in the region. Elevated viewing decks set amongst tall riverine trees overlook endless savannahs and wetlands. A spacious lounge and firepit is a communal area with interesting African art. Relaxation, privacy and comfort are paramount at Susuwe.
Accommodation
Six spacious brick and thatch suites equipped with double bathroom, bedroom, lounge and wooden viewing deck each with private plunge pool give visitors the opportunity to wind down to Africa’s slower speed! The suites overlook the Kwando River and surrounding savannahs of the National Park and have the following amenities, hairdryer, overhead fan and mosquito nets.
Dining and Food
The cuisine at Susuwe Island lodge is al fresco fusion style, and the chefs will be happy to cater to any requirement. A selection of cellar wines, imported beers, spirits and liqueurs are also on offer.
