Serian Camp
(Masai Mara National Reserve - Kenya)
General Description
Located in the Mara north conservancy, Serian Camp is a traditional tented bush camp.
The camp is set in a secluded valley where the stylish accommodation overlooks the waters of the Mara River. The furnishings suggest the safaris of a bygone era with natural colours of carpets on hardwood flooring and draping cottons which set off the colonial-style furniture and canvas walls.
There are expansive views of the Mara River and the Oloololo escarpment and the camp is the base for the Mara Predator Project.
Accommodation
There are eight tents which includes one family tent. Each tent is unique with large double beds and the adjoining bush bathrooms include a bathtub and shower, twin basins and a flush toilet. The tents have been privately situated and the design is eco-chic with swathes of cotton and canvas walls. Power is provided by solar electricity.
Dining and Food
Early morning tea is served in bed and your guide will also organize picnic breakfasts, lunches and starlit dinners. There is a mess deck which plays host to lots of wining and dining and an indoor fireplace.
