Seba Camp
(Okavango Delta - Botswana)
General Description
Seba Camp is set in an ancient riverine forest in the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta. The camp offers secluded, luxurious accommodation overlooking a lagoon teeming with bird and wild life. Guests can enjoy more than game viewing however, as the camp is a base for unique research on elephant behavior. The camp has been named after Seba, a young bull elephant who was part of Randall Moore's pioneering elephant back safaris at nearby Abu Camp. Seba was released back into the wild where he joined other trained elephants; the herd has chosen to remain in the vicinity. The interaction between the released elephants and the wild herds that traverse the area is providing a rich area for research teams. Guests are invited to observe at first hand the researchers at work, often in close proximity to the elephant herds.
Accommodation
Seba Camp has eight well-appointed and spacious elevated tents, each celebrating the different tribes of Botswana through décor. Each tent has en-suite facilities and a private deck with magnificent views of the perennial lagoon and wildlife passing by.
There are also two family suites to accommodate children. These have two connected, en-suite double bedrooms and there is ample space for children, including a built-in 'tree-house' and an elevated deck which has its own small swimming pool and sandpit.
Dining and Food
Meals usually follow the format of a light breakfast before your morning safari activity, buffet brunch on your return, a tea-time snack before your evening activity, and then a full three course dinner on your return at around 8 pm. Meals are served on the deck of the main lodge, which overlooks the lagoon, or next to the lagoon.

Activities
Seba Camp is a year-round, multi-activity camp, offering game drives with experienced guides in open 4 x 4 vehicles during the day and night, as well as walking with an armed guide. When the flood waters arrive, mokoro trips and motor boating are also offered. Bird watching at Seba is exceptionally good.
Child Policy
No age limit – this is unusual for camps in Botswana. Parents must be aware that this is an area of dangerous game, so children must be supervised at all times
