Olakira Camp
(Serengeti National Park - Tanzania)
General Description
Olakira Camp is an intimate mobile tented camp comprising 6 guest tents and 2 common area tents. Whilst the mobile nature of Olakira Camp allows it to move to the densest concentrations of wildlife, it manages to surprise with its spaciousness and comfort. Large beds, wide private verandahs, convenient bathroom facilities, a great lounge area and wonderful food served under the Serengeti stars ensure total well-being.
Central to the camp are two common tents that are open to the surrounding area. One camp serves as a dining tent and the other as a lounge. For larger groups, one tent can be used as a separate private lounge and dining area.
From December to March, the camp is in the southern Serengeti, or Ndutu area. The December to March period is the time when the Great Migration takes over the Ndutu plains. The camp moves up to the central Serengeti from June to November, where the concentration of animals is denser at this time.
Accommodation
The guest tents are spacious and comfortable with large king-size or twin beds and convenient bathrooms. Each tent has its own private verandah with a wonderful view overlooking the Serengeti.
