Ngala was the first private safari reserve to be incorporated into the world-famous Kruger National Park – the largest wildlife sanctuary in South Africa. With exclusive traversing rights over 14,700 hectares of Kruger's game-rich wilderness, Ngala offers an extraordinary African wildlife safari experience.

Ngala Private Game Reserve is host to an exclusive Safari Lodge, and a Tented Safari Camp, both offering world-class style in the African bush.

Ngala Lodge is a gracious, colonial-style safari lodge renowned for its superb accommodation. It provides one of the best family safari experiences in the heart of the Kruger National Park. Ngala Lodge's main thatched dining, bar and sitting areas are open to the African bushveld, and the large swimming pool looks out over a busy waterhole where elephants are frequently sighted.

Set on the banks of the Timbavati River, Ngala Tented Safari Camp is an excellent safari camp with a contemporary feel. Guest areas feature retro pieces from the 50s, 60s and 70s and beautiful timber decks overlook the seasonal riverbed.

Accommodation

The 20 thatched cottages at Ngala Lodge are shaded by Mopane trees and offer excellent views. All feature air conditioning, intimate verandahs and green slate en suite baths and showers. There is also a safari suite, ideal for honeymooners.

There are just 6 luxurious tented suites at Ngala Tented Safari Camp, each with en-suite bathroom with spacious baths and outdoor showers.

Dining

Excellent meals are served in the boma or lantern-lit courtyard. Bush meals are also a highlight.
