Kwara Camp
(Okavango Delta - Botswana)
General Description
Kwara Camp is in the heart of a private concession bordering the Moremi, within the permanent waterways and reed-lined lagoons of the Okavango Delta.
There is a huge floodplain in front of the camp and extensive bush behind. Kwara overlooks a waterhole which you can observe from the small pool or bar. Wildlife is varied and includes hippo, crocodiles, elephant, buffalo, lechwe, sitatunga, sable, roan, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, tsessebe and abundant predators - lion, wild dog, leopard, hyena and cheetah.
Accommodation
The eight luxury safari-style tents are built on raised decks, within a grove of ancient African Ebony trees. Resident hippos will generally serenade you year round from the water on the floodplain in front of the camp. Each tent has its own viewing deck, private en-suite facilities including hot and cold running showers, flush toilets and modern amenities. Kwara also boast a honeymoon suite with its own special bathroom with an antique slipper bath with the traditional ball and claw feet.
