General area and lodge description
Kirurumu Tented Camp is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, enjoying a marvellous, uplifting and panoramic view eastward over Lake Manyara, the Rift floor and Mt. Losimingori. Behind Kirurumu, the Ngorongoro Highlands rise in green and fertile splendour and form the gateway to Ngorongoro Crater and, finally, Olduvai Gorge, the Serengeti.

The main bar area and sundeck offers excellent views of the surrounds. There is also a comfortable and beautifully lit dining room.

From Kirurumu you can visit the owner's own private concession at Loliondo, the green and fertile Crater Highlands and, of course, Ngorongoro Crater. For the more adventurous, you can enjoy activities such as lake canoeing, mountain biking, cultural tours, and guided walks.

Accommodation
Accommodation consists of 20 double and twin "tented rooms" including two honeymoon suites. Each room/tent is fully and tastefully furnished with a wooden verandah with armchairs and table. All the rooms have full en suite facilities - flush toilet, shower, wash-hand basin.

Dining & Food
Food at Kirurumu is served in the restaurant, overlooking the Rift Escarpment. Menus are changed daily and all the fruit and vegetables are home grown from the organic lodge gardens.

Children are welcome and stay at cheaper rates. Children under the age of 6 can be accommodated free of charge if sharing with an adult.
