Kicheche Bush Camp

General Description

This Bush Camp is a small, classic, intimate, luxury tented camp completely unfenced, accommodating a maximum of twelve guests. There is also a spacious well furnished lounge and dining tent, although there is a preference to dine alfresco if weather permits. Located in the Masaai Mara in the Olare Orok Conservancy, there is a strict limit on bed numbers which offers an incomparable game viewing experience without the crowds. The camp is located in a prime wildlife area and game viewing starts right from the camp itself. The location is also ideal to experience the wildebeest migration. Access to the camp is via Ol Kiombo airstrip where the 40 minute journey turns into an introductory game drive.

Accommodation

Six very spacious, fully insect-proof custom designed tents, equipped with twin or double beds, linen, bedside tables, luggage racks and rugs. Bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped with a flushing toilet and a traditional safari bucket shower with a view. There are comfortable chairs on each verandah overlooking the plains.

Dining and Food

The cooks produce a variety of African and international dishes. Fresh produce is flown in regularly and bread and pastries are baked daily. This small intimate camp lends itself to communal dining with your hosts, although private dining can be arranged.

Activities

Early morning and late afternoon game drives in customised safari vehicles give everyone a perfect view. Vehicles are well designed for photographers, with open-sides and roofs. For complete flexibility it is recommended that photographers take a vehicle on an exclusive use basis at an additional cost.
Enjoy an escorted walking trip for a different perspective. Village and school visits can also be arranged or maybe an early morning balloon trip.

Child Policy

Children are accepted but parents must be aware that the camp is not fenced and no additional facilities are available to occupy them outside the normal excursions. No baby equipment is provided.
