General Description
Ibo Island Lodge is situated on the Island of Ibo, just north of Pemba in the pristine Quirimbas Archipelago, Northern Mozambique. The Lodge encompasses three magnificent mansions each over a century old with thick walls and high lofty ceilings. As the island is now being considered a potential World Heritage Site, the lodge and rooms have been designed to incorporate the original architecture and style of the old buildings.

The lodge has two swimming pools set in tropical gardens, an air-conditioned lounge and private dinning room, as well as a roof terrace restaurant with an open-air lounge area for after dinner drinks under the stars.

Located on a prime waterfront site, the lodge offers a classic, relaxed island experience.

Accommodation
Accommodation at Ibo Island Lodge is split between two of the mansions, Paridisso and Niassa. All of the bedrooms are individually decorated with indigenous teak and mahogany handcrafted furniture, antique fittings, and vibrant local fabrics. Many open onto private verandas. All of the rooms are en-suite and air-conditioned. Amenities include room safe, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities.

Dining
Traditional specialities are produced using fresh local vegetables and seafood. Romantic dinners are served on the tranquil verandas or on the rooftop terrace with beautiful views over the island.

Child Policy
Children under the age of 12 years will only be accepted with prior authorization from Ibo Island Lodge. Children sharing with parents (maximum 2 children) shall be charged 50% of the adult sharing rate - subject to availability of suitable room.

Environmental Policy
Several community projects are operated by Ibo Island Lodge - the central aims being to achieve long term, sustainable means of generating income and benefits to local communities, and to implement and manage programs that provide training, mentorship and education. These projects work in conjunction with various organizations to ensure that the sensitive ecosystems and biodiversity of the region with are protected.
